Experienced Representation for Agricultural Clients
At the law firm of Ackerson Kauffman Fex, we have focused much of our practice on the area of agricultural law, including agricultural finance and biotech disputes. Since 1991, our Washington, DC-based law firm has represented farmers, ranchers, suppliers, processors, the Farm Bureau and other agricultural organizations, farm credit system banks and others in the field of agriculture.
Founding partner Nels Ackerson grew up on a farm, studied agriculture at Purdue, and is a former national Future Farmers of America (FFA) president. Under his leadership, our law firm is adept at resolving agricultural disputes on a variety of fronts, including litigation.
Farm Credit System Bank Representation
Our attorneys represent local and regional banks that make loans to agricultural interests as members of the farm credit system. We handle agricultural finance litigation, challenging proposed or final regulations. We also represent banks in disputes with other banks or with regulatory agencies.
We represent agricultural interest in disputes involving genetically engineered crops, herbicides and pesticides. These disputes commonly involve genetically engineered products that migrate onto neighboring land, cross-pollinating with non-engineered products and causing serious damage.
Review Our Record of Success
Our successes speak for themselves. We also take pride in what The National Law Journal, American Lawyer and others have said about our law firm.
